1. Accepting these terms

By downloading, accessing, or using FocusRabbit or this website, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.

FocusRabbit is an independently developed iOS app published under the FocusRabbit name. In these terms, “FocusRabbit,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the app’s publisher.

2. Apple’s standard license terms

FocusRabbit is licensed, not sold. Your use of the iOS app is also subject to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If these terms conflict with Apple’s required terms, Apple’s terms control to the extent of that conflict. Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for FocusRabbit.

3. What FocusRabbit provides

FocusRabbit is a digital wellbeing and productivity tool. It lets you choose apps or categories and ask Apple’s Screen Time frameworks to block them, limit them, schedule restrictions, and display usage reports. Features depend on your device, iOS version, permissions, and Apple’s frameworks.

We may add, remove, improve, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not promise that every feature will always be available or behave the same way after an iOS or Screen Time change.

4. Eligibility

You must be legally able to agree to these terms. If you are not old enough to enter into this agreement where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these terms for you. Anyone using FocusRabbit with a child or managed device is responsible for complying with applicable parental consent and child privacy laws.

5. Your permission to use the app

Subject to these terms and Apple’s license rules, we grant you a limited, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable license to use FocusRabbit on Apple devices that you own or control for lawful, personal purposes.

You may not:

• Use FocusRabbit in violation of law or another person’s rights.
• Copy, sell, sublicense, rent, distribute, or commercially exploit the app except where applicable law expressly permits it.
• Reverse engineer, bypass, interfere with, or misuse FocusRabbit or its security and technical protections, except where law expressly permits it.
• Use the app or website to introduce malicious code or abuse.

6. Your choices and responsibilities

You decide which apps to block or limit, when restrictions run, and which commitment setting to use. You are responsible for reviewing those choices and for keeping access to essential, safety, emergency, work, school, and communication tools when you need them.

FocusRabbit needs Screen Time authorization for its core features. You are responsible for granting and maintaining that permission. You can revoke it through the app or applicable iOS settings, but doing so will prevent some or all features from working.

7. Important limitations

FocusRabbit is not a medical device, healthcare service, or substitute for professional advice. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or mental health condition. It does not guarantee improved focus, lower Screen Time, productivity, wellbeing, or any particular result.

Screen Time data and enforcement are controlled in part by iOS. Reports can arrive late, include system limitations, or differ from other Screen Time displays. Blocks and limits may fail or be bypassed because of permissions, device settings, operating system behavior, software bugs, or changes outside our control. Do not rely on FocusRabbit for emergencies, personal safety, legal compliance, or protection against access to harmful content.

8. Intellectual property

FocusRabbit, its mascot, design, software, copy, graphics, and related materials are owned by or licensed to the publisher and are protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of those materials to you.

9. Third party services and links

FocusRabbit relies on Apple frameworks and may link to services or websites we do not control. Support correspondence is delivered and stored using Gmail, a service provided by Google. Apple’s and Google’s own terms and privacy policies apply to their services. We are not responsible for third party services, content, availability, or practices. Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are intended third party beneficiaries of the app license terms and may enforce them as allowed by Apple’s standard agreement.

10. No warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FocusRabbit and the website are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, quiet enjoyment, and noninfringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, opportunity, profits, goodwill, or use, arising from FocusRabbit or the website. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for FocusRabbit during the twelve months before the claim or fifty US dollars.

These limits do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded and do not reduce mandatory consumer rights available where you live.

12. Ending use

You may stop using FocusRabbit at any time and delete the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these terms or if needed to protect the app, users, or others. Provisions that logically should continue, including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms, survive termination.

13. Governing terms and disputes

Apple’s standard license agreement contains governing law and forum rules for the licensed app, including special treatment for users in certain countries. Mandatory consumer protections and rights in your place of residence continue to apply. Before filing a claim, please contact us and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally.

14. Changes

We may update these terms when the app, website, or law changes. The updated version will appear here with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when reasonably appropriate. Your continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept them.
